William Eggleston

Los Alamo's is an interesting collection of photographs. I focused my attention on the last image in this collection. The composition is straight forward with the subjects in the middle. Tones are neutral. I think the image tries to show how people at that time saw African Americans.

HDR Image

This is my attempt at a HDR image. I like this style of photo and I think I will try to shoot several more of these to get a better feel for what types of images work best with this style.

One Layer Mask

This is my first One-layer mask photoshop image. I really enjoyed working on this style of photo and hope to attempt a few more in the future.

Presets

Here I used the grayscale preset to change the image from color to black and white.

This was the strong contrast preset.

This is my preset. I named it vibrant green.

Cropping

This is a photograph I took of a wing walker during the Skyfest event at the airport in August.

This was the original shot.

I cropped the photograph and moved the plane to the lower corner to make it look as though it is flying into the picture.

This is the opposite orientation crop. I placed the plane at the very top to create more space below it, hoping to make it seem like they are higher up in the air then thy actually are.

This is the square crop. I place the plane just off center to be more pleasing.

Stiil Shots....

Still shots are to me a moment in time. Something that can never be redone exactly as it was in that moment. Its hold over us is due to the moment in time it captures and the feelings it instills in us when we see it. The emotions can be intense or casual depending on the content of the photo.
